To break the ice at that critically important moment, the most important thing you can do is to say something to create an interest in that customer´s mind. You want them to want to talk with you further. The best approach is to involve his business and tell them something they may not already know about the industry, new developments, etc. Just show sincere excitement to be able to meet with them about ´something special´.
